Suzy came off Facebook Marketplace a few years back and has never pretended to be anything she isn't: not fast, a little wobbly if you push her, and completely indispensable the moment there's something heavy to move.
Farm spec from Harties
Before the city, Suzy lived on a farm out at Harties, where she held the title of dog carrier extraordinaire. Dogs in, dogs out, repeat — proper farm duty, and by all accounts she was excellent at it.
The Marketplace find
A few years ago she turned up on Facebook Marketplace, the way the best old Suzukis do, and made the move to Johannesburg. The dogs' loss has been the workshop's gain.
An absolute beast at work
These days Suzy earns her keep hauling gearboxes and engines around Joburg. It isn't glamorous work, and she isn't precious about it — load her up and she simply gets on with the job. For a vehicle her size, she shifts an unreasonable amount of drivetrain.
What she won't do
Go fast. Past a certain speed she develops a bit of a speed wobble, so you learn not to ask. Around town it makes no difference at all — she starts, she carries, she comes back for more. That's the whole job description, and she nails it.
